Whosh, Whosh! I was slipping down the hill in the woods. My pants kept getting stuck on pricker bushes as I jumped over them. Then I stopped to catch my breath. I saw tall trees and little white flowers. I saw deer and a duck by the pond also. Then I caught a glimpse of something white in the mud. Suddenly an orange oval popped out.Then a tiny wing came out. Then out popped a little body. It was a duckling.Then it started to run up the hill. I chased after it. I saw it hiding in a bush. When he saw me he ran away. I wondered where its mom and dad were. I kept chasing it. I thought it would never stop. It had lots of dirt in its feathers. The duckling ran very fast. Then I almost caught it, but it turned and ran down hill. But I was close and almost caught it. Then I looked up and saw its mother. Then I fell and was on my behind. I finally got up. But that duck didn`t stop. Then there was a log bigger than the duck was so I caught it. When the mother got her baby back she talked and said thank you.
